Guy Stacey
Guy Stacey began his musical Odyssey at the age of eight years old with
formal instructions for trumpet and piano. His parents were adamant upon
daily practice sessions, and all else was put on hold till the day's regimen
was completed. By the time Guy was eleven, his prime focus had become
centered upon the guitar. After a handful of live radio performances, Guy
was contacted by Chet Atkins encouraging him to continue along the pathway
as an entertainer. This was a tremendous boost for Guy. Shortly thereafter,
lessons were made available and administered under the tutelage of George
Ziacs (A respected jazzist in central California). The progressive
stylizations and true basics learned during this time period have proven to
be influential throughout Guy's career. Over the years he has lived and
performed in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Branson, and Nashville. It goes without saying, Guy has toured extensively. An artist who excels in the studio, and during live performance, his spontaneity is often almost shocking, yet always melodically pleasing.
Guy's current project is with the Northwest ensemble, Perpetua. Its members
all compose and collaborate to form a unique blend of styles and tastes.
Work is currently underway on their new CD. |
