Rick LeDoux

Rick Le Doux, a native Oregonian, began his first drumming experience at age 9 while living in Portland. To this day he has received instructional lessons from his mentor, the highly recognized drummer, leader and educator Mel Brown. His instructors also included Chick Colburn, percussionist for the Oregon Symphony. Both artists have played with the Woody Hite Big Band. Le Doux lives in Nelscott and has been an integral part of the local musical scene for 29 years. He has provided expert accompaniment for the 10 piece Roseland Orchestra, the Lincoln County Concert Band, Calamity Jazz, Whistling Dixie, the David Hutson Quartet, the Lincoln Pops Band, the Lincoln Community Chorus and the Central Coast Chorale. He is presently a part of the orchestra in the upcoming musical Cabaret and was a percussionist in last spring's local production of Damn Yankees.
